VYŠEHRAD RAILWAY STATION will be saved by Karlín Port Real Estate and deployed in OREF fund
We would like to share information with you that the long-awaited saviour of the exceptional and renowned building Vyšehrad Railway Station is becoming the leading Prague developer Karlin Port Real Estate. The Art Nouveau gem, located in the UNESCO protection zone, has been deteriorating for years and was at risk of complete collapse, evoking significant emotions not only among the residents of Prague.
The new owner will now revitalize it, reconstruct it, and bring life and meaningful use back to its premises, including a completely new and unique housing concept. Emphasis is placed on preserving the historical value of the building and enhancing its surroundings. The realization of this project will increase the value and charm of the entire micro-location. This original project will also be deployed into its Opportunity Real Estate Fund SICAV (OREF).

The four-star hotel achieved an average rating of 9.6 on Booking last year, according to CzechTourism data.
Guests come there from all over the world. "The majority of guests staying in our hotel are from Germany, Israel, the United Kingdom and the Czech Republic," says general manager Jan Veškrna.
The hotel building itself, which is located near the Old Town Square, dates from 1909.
Everything highlights the interior of the hotel, for example the staircase with a chandelier from the Ave Clara glass factory. According to him, this place is the most photographed element of the hotel.

In the heart of the Prague City centre is located the historical building, which was built between 1954 and 1957 as the specialised delicatessen shop. The existing owner of Rephana Hotels has decided to convert the property into a five-star boutique hotel called Hotel Wilson, Prague due to its close proximity to the Art Nouveau Wilson Railway Station. Studio Archina has created the interior design in very close co-operation with the owner and architect of TAK 2000.
As the previous type of use, all levels has been built as “open space” with a typical shape, so to convert floors into the hotel type of use has been very specific creative work and each type of the rooms is atypical and unique. The hotel lobby is very unique as well and located in two levels connected by the escalators. The part of conversion has also been the extension of two new levels on existing roof designed in very harmonic way with the historical part. The hotel will be opened in early 2015.
